She still makes space for "Pro bono for conservation". When you have so little of something, to use part of it to help others, really says something about you as a person.
Specially in very difficult times like these.
I think, that the element that makes her work look so good, is the textured finish of the charcoal drawing, mixed with some very realistic expressions. The result of this combination makes the spirit/essence of the animal shine through. They feel so real even though they are not as realistic as a photo.
I find it a good reminder for me, that amongst all of the troubles us humans are going through right now, I can't lose sight of the reparations we have to make, as a species, to the animal kingdom as well.
