I hadn't heard of MerMay before. It works like Inktober, Smaugust and all of the other month-long art challenges out there.
These images are a mixture of ink drawings and watercolor paintings. The combination of the two and the photo that includes the ring binding sketchbook add to the beautiful-looking composition.
Many of the mermaids are themed. They take the form of famous paintings, like the Mona Lisa. Traditional countries' costumes, like the Scottish one. A reference to Dracula. A hat tip to the Tudor period and a god of the seas, in the form of Poseidon. There is more to see and I will let you check this post out in your own time.
