Urban sights of architecture from around the world.
Thomas Harry Gunawan drew all of the buildings shown on this page.
There is a lot to like about Gunawan's work. For a start: The style and the layout. The drawings are more than simple sketches, whilst not seeking to be realistic. The artist uses black, white and shades in between, plus the negative spaces to borrow some colour from the background. As well as the style of the drawing, we have plenty of architectural ones. Then there is the layout. The drawings don't span edge to edge of the page, with the farther reaches of the image usually silhouetted with a grey blend.
A couple of famous well-known places, share the post with more quaint and rustic ones. A feel of architecture you might be unfamiliar with and might prefer to their modern equivalent.
A lovely light and pleasant set of works full of charm and skill. Perfect for the opening day of your week. Enjoy both.
