Cupcakes found their way into this post, even though they don't really fit with the description in the title. Adding food art would have made it too long.

The artist describes it as a hobby, that I see as lovely to look at and, I'm sure, just as nice to drink.

This is the second time we feature Kim Clough aka (fairchildart) an Artist with an amazing eye for detail and Miniaturist by day, Medical Lab Scientist by night. She tells us how she started in 2008, with a book from Sue Heaser, "Making Doll's House Miniatures with Polymer Clay", in which there are many easy to follow tutorials, covering many different types of miniatures. Now she uses reference pictures, of real food from different angles, to create her tiny replicas. She buys the cutlery and the dishes, with each clay sculpture taking between 1 and 3 hours to complete, depending on the complexity.
