Eclectic Mixture of Sketchbook Drawings

An eclectic mixture of sketchbook drawings.

Many different subjects make it into today's post: Architecture, urban sketching, interior design, kiosks, portraits, assorted objects, a plane, a pond and general scenery. Obvious conclusion? There is a lot to see in the post.

The thing that unifies all of the sketches is that they are all keiross's point of view. In fact, he sometimes adds his arms, notepad and legs into the image that is being drawn.

The first drawing is my favourite. The choice to include the tree, the steps and the railing, make sure to frame the background in a fantastic way. An extraordinary amount of detailing in the canopy of the tree and the reflective surface of the river.

I like the second image because of its setup. The person is not the focal point. That belongs to the room and the view outside the window. Even so, the person is clearly doing something and at some point our mind needs to find out more about that. No matter where we start in the sketch, we are always going to end up scrutinising the person...

The third drawing is a different view, but almost looks like a magnification of the window view in drawing two. Another interesting point of view for us, the viewer.

My last mention is the kiosk. I love it as a structure. They usually either serve drinks, or they sell newspapers and magazines, among other things. They have a different feel from a normal shop in a building. A freedom and design that is unique to them.
