A collaboration of mediums assures this post of animal art is going to be an interesting one.
Michelle Sarantopulos drew and painted all of the beings you see on this page.
Real animals in fantasy animal depictions. They include the following mediums: watercolor pencils, graphite and oil pastels. They all come together and combine to give these beings a very original look.
In fact, I have to make one correction. There is one fantasy animal in the mix. That is the jackalope. The following description was taken From Wikipedia: "The jackalope is a mythical animal of North American folklore described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns. The word jackalope is a portmanteau of jackrabbit and antelope."
Colour and a variety of textures are used to great effect by Sarantopulos. They make these pieces not only stand out when compared to other styles, but also provide a unique look between each being on this page. I hope you will see what I mean when you see the images below.
