Talented Brazilian Artist Aqi Luciano creates Street art and Studio Art (on canvas and on paper).  Today we are going to concentrate on his Street Art.  The beauty of this form of art is that, it does not belong to one person or institution but, to the people and the neighbourhood it was created in.  It is free to consume and you can admire it every time you pass by it, adding a splash of colour and beauty to your day.

Dark and Surreal Street Art Murals

Beautifully Surreal and sometimes Dark Street Art Murals, by Artist Alexis Diaz, from Puerto Rico.  This is art that the masses can enjoy, you don't have to pay an entrance fee or make special plans to go and visit it in a museum.  This form of Street Art can be admired every time you go to work, visit someone or just out on a walk, each time enjoying and discovering a different detail.

Temporary 3D Anamorphic Street Art Creature Drawings

Self-taught Artist David Zinn, has been creating his original Street Art in and around Ann Arbor, since 1987.  He does take professional commissions that pay the bills, but loves walking around town and once a spot captures his attention, he starts drawing.  Zinn does not go out with a specific image in mind, he lets the sidewalks and the walls, drive the process.  The video below, is an interview with Zinn in which, he shares, with us, a lot more of his technique and the source of his inspiration.

German Street Artist Edgar Mueller aka metanamorph has had a love for art, in particular of street art, since he was a young boy.  He took part in his first street art competition when he was 16 and won first place.  He then took part in various competitions in the following years.  At 25 He decided to travel around Europe, to dedicate himself full time to his passion of creating art on the streets, giving workshops at schools and organising street art festivals.  He started replicating famous works of art, now he mostly concentrates on his own designs.  We have included static images, animated images and videos to showcase Mueller's work as well as possible.

Altering Street Art into Animations

A. L. Crego takes street art, building landscapes, people and then animates them.  We usually try and find out a bit more about the artist we feature, but in this case we were not able to find much.  We thought that this post was too good to give up, so if we find more information in the future we will add it to the post.  You will need to give the Animations, a bit of time to start.  You can enlarge the image by pressing it, (not the first one).

In my opinion this is the very best use of Street art, bringing back to life old unkempt and some times derelict buildings.  This form of Art makes us look twice at a building we once we would have been happy to ignore. Look at how artist Nikita Nomerz accomplishes this.

Jane Doe - Popping up in Street Art Portraits

Rone is a Street Artist, that paints beautiful portraits on the side of buildings, this is a small extract from the Artists Site "in particular an often recurring image of his so-called Jane Doe, Rone’s work attempts to locate the friction point between beauty and decay".  We have included a video below that shows you how he paints the entire side of the building, managing to inject a lot of expression in the features of his portraits.

3D Street Pavement Art Painting

Kurt Wenner sold everything he had, to move to Italy and become an artist.  When he arrived he did not have a lot of money left and was not allowed to work.  He used museums as his classroom looking and recreating drawings and paintings from some of the best artworks in the world.  His life took a positive turn when he was asked to work with a street artist and was given a share of the profit raised from the public.  From then onwards he realised he could make a living at this transient and temporary form of art.  To pass on some of the knowledge he has amassed during the years, he runs workshops, demonstrations and gives talks.  The first video will give you a bit more information about his beginnings.

Street Art with Ceramic Tiles Illustrations

Portuguese Artist Diogo Machado aka (Add Fuel) demonstrates the level of detail and beauty that you can bring to Street Art.  As a Visual and Graphics Artist, his creations were mostly based on the sci-fi universe, now he is concentrating on the on reinterpreting traditional tile designs.  This post can be divided in two parts, his tile applications on electrical junction boxes, where he gives the impression that the metal box has been torn away revealing the tiles below and the murals, that help uplift the building or the wall in which he works.  Enjoy this beautiful walk around the new neighbourhood.
