Chocolate Anatomy

Visual Anatomy was originally formed as a Medical Illustration Studio, started by Tina Pavatos.  When thinking for an appropriate present for its clients they came up with the Chocolates.  This created a new branch in their business, which are now sold and shipped all over the world.

Anatomy of the non Living

Anatomy of the non Living, this is not the official title but as I could not find one, I made up.  Isabelle Dalle has occupied every position from Illustrator to Artistic Director of Marie Claire Group.  These drawings are different from what we usually associate with artistic drawings but they have a really interesting quality to them.

Cross Hatch Drawings with a bit of Anatomy

Olivia Knapp uses a fascinating way of drawing which, is inspired by European line engravings of decorative relief and scientific specimens from the 16th to 18th centuries.  We have Shown a sample of her cross hatching technique in the Hand Detail and in the video below.  As well as the way she draws we were really impressed by the subjects that she chooses to Illustrate.  This is a quote from her site "Olivia explores the relationship between desire, reason, and circumstance".  We will leave you to explore them...

Stylish Anatomy Part 2

Talented Illustrator Alex Konahin has been featured here on DesignStack twice before.  His amazingly detailed drawings and and the partly fantastical and stylised aspect of them, gives an almost surreal feeling when looking at them.  Today we are featuring his second instalment in his anatomy drawings, dealing with the reproductive system.  We think he should complete illustrations of the entire human body, that would certainly interest and inspire children and adults, to learn more about anatomy. Embroidered Anatomy exposing Internal Physiology

Chilean Visual Artist Juana Gómez, brings human Internal Physiology to light with these anatomical representations.  She achieves this result by printing a photo on canvas and retouching or adding to it with drawings, over which she embroiders the particular anatomical detail.  Gómez explains it best "These embroideries are based on the repetition of a structure governing the organic and inorganic world" an example of each is the Tree and the course of rivers and its tributaries, even new technology is making use of nervous system paths and connections to design processors for computers of the future.

Quilling Anatomy

Anatomy examined using Quilling (it is a craft that uses strips of paper rolled and glued to create images, patterns).  These drawings are very cleverly done, gilded edges of old books are used to make the lines even more interesting.  Lisa Nilsson's background is an Artist and illustrator and qualified as a Certified Medical Assistant.

Anatomy of Monsters

Brad McGinty creates these pictures of internal organs of Famous / Cult Film Monsters, which include films like Gremlins, Terminator, Aliens and Mars Attacks. Look at the Images for more information about the Monsters.  McGinty promises to send a translation of the labels, if you buy the prints, which were originally translated with Google.  He says they are quite funny (if you know what they mean maybe you can put some of them, in the comment section at the end of the article).  To get the best effect, once in the article you can enlarge the image by pressing it (not the first one).
