Nicolaj Rasted drew all of the images you see on this page.
They follow forms that we don't usually associate with island scenes. They are so different from reality, as they are from other fantasy drawings of landscapes and architecture. As far as my experience in the subject goes, they are quite unique.
They are so beautifully stylish and compact. Even though all of these illustrations are different from each other, you definitely see a common thread weave its way through all of them. The thread links them, like a family links all of its members.
When it comes to favourites, all of the drawings stand behind the style. As well as small houses and one little town, plus all being situated on an island, the other most common detail is the appearances of lighthouses.
I like these drawings so much. The fact that this post is shorter than usual, is because I can't wait for you to see the drawings.
