Celebrities Drawn in Realistic Portraits

An artist that relishes achieving realism and perfection, in his drawings.
Alex Manole is an Italian tattoo artist, but today we are not looking at his drawings on skin, but rather, the ones he draws on paper. As he says on his social media page, he mostly draws portraits, with a majority in black and white.  As you can see from the images below, this statement is well represented.  I have heard many times that if you are going to make them so perfect, why not have a photo.  For me, there is a greater beauty, inherent in a human creating something versus a machine, something that is added to the overall enjoyment of the image.  I always look at the drawing or painting, to spot even the slightest mistake or something that gives it way as man-made.  To me, it is not an imperfection, but a signature or brand, that says that this level of precision and beauty was attained by a person.  In an almost perfect piece of art, the imperfection makes it human and makes me, more appreciative of the rest of the piece.
