French designer and artist Florian Lecuyer created all of the creature depictions you see on this page.
In this post there is a mixture of traditional media. They consist of the following mediums: ink pens, watercolor paints and pencils.
I love how extraordinarily strange these pieces look and feel. I don't know why, but they feel different when you are not looking at them in an animation, a moving picture. Plus, in this form, they feel more real. I am not sure if it's because most of them are pandas and the ones we feature on our site are always taken from real animals. I am pretty sure I am not making this point as clearly as it needs to be. Or, it could be just me who feels this way... Moving on.
I really like the range of poses and movements Lecuyer is able to articulate his models into. I wonder if these images were inspired by real fighting stances (between humans) or if they are the result of an artist's vivid imagination.
I love the concept and the execution of the art. Surrealism, what a fantastic theme to have on a Sunday. Most see today as 24 hrs of rest and relaxation. I say subvert the norm and set your mind to take you on all sorts of inspired surreal thoughts. Change up your routine today and the whole of next week. Give it a try and see what happens. Remove what doesn't work and continue with what does. I will see you all tomorrow.
