Hyper-Realistic - Life Snapshot Drawings
American Artist Justin Meyers creates these wonderfully precise and full of expression artworks. He draws using primarily charcoal and graphite on paper, with a photographic images as a reference starting point and then adds small details to personalise them even more. Meyers is one of those artists that does not draw using other people's references, he goes out and finds subjects that speak to him and then recreates and enhances the subject and their expressions. We have put together a sample of his portrait and and his still life drawings to showcase the amount of detail that goes into each and every one of his creations. Once in the article you can enlarge the image by pressing it (not the first one).

British Ileana Hunter defines herself as a Graphite Artist. We have featured her before, in a post called (Minimalist Hyper-Realistic Portraits). Hunter has a very distinctive drawing style, minimalist in its execution. Even though part of the drawing almost looks incomplete, the details that she puts in, are sufficient to recognise who the picture is of. In the image above, called "The Two Audreys", Hunter divides the image in two, on the left the reference image and on the right, the image she has drawn. The process highlights how just a few features of our faces are enough to recognise a person.

The Cracked Portrait, Pencil Drawing and Glass
In these Hyper Realistic drawings, Japanese Artist Taisuke Mohri, uses striated shards of glass to deform and stretch, his otherwise perfect Portraits. It's an amazing technique, that adds interest thanks to the imperfection that the glass causes. We have included, for most of the drawings, details, so that you can appreciate the effect of the glass and the perfection of the execution of the images.

Biro Ballpoint Pen Portraits drawn by Polish Artist Toni Efer. These are very well drawn and detailed Portraits. As we have seen in previous articles the amount of work that goes into drawings like these. As you can see on the Drawing below, the image gets finer the further you move up, culminating with with a very smooth texture in the head.
