Ghost like Charcoal Sketches

Charcoal drawings that almost look like ghosts.

Ghost Town Oil Paintings

Quiet Paintings, if such a thing exists, is what I would call these art pieces.  Created by Stefan Hoenerloh which he calls "Sedimentation Process: City".  These paintings have a lack of any moving references such as People, Animals, Cars etc, and a white light source that unlike the warm glow of the sun, makes the painting harsher and more desolate.  If you go through them, you get the feeling that you are moving / walking trough a Ghost Town.  These Oil Paintings have incredibly good detailing, see the below, comparable to Photo-realistic paintings, but Hoenerloh, tells us, he purposely stays away from it, making it clear to the eye of the that this is still a painting,  I think he achieves it with the slight smokiness in the light and a slightly imprecise contrast in the shadowing.  Once in the article you can enlarge the image by pressing it (not the first one).

Serenity in Hyper Realistic Paintings

Matt Story is a talented American artist, that has been interested and has produced art since a young age.  He spends a long time layering the different shades on his paintings to give them a more realistic appearance and an incredible depth.  He is famous for his underwater images and his landscapes.  We have chosen the second one for the tranquillity and peace they exude.  Spending time looking at them, almost feels like taking time out to meditate.  Take a deep breath, let go and relax in the art.
